The Victory Lounge is an ensemble independent feature film shot in New Orleans in the Spring of 2012. The Victory Lounge is a dark comedy that flirts with the idea of being a musical.

Tommy Vita, Rebecca Barras, and myself, while shooting the short film, “A Satisfactory Life,” decided to jump into another feature, despite the fact that our previous features were still in post production. The idea was to simply shoot a low budget, low production value, exploitative dark comedy. No other rules, and I would write the script based on who agreed to be in the movie.
I sent an email to over twenty actors that I worked with in the past, asking if they would be interested in acting in a highly exploitative movie with no budget movie, and they wouldn’t get to see the script before agreeing. I was hoping that one or two people might say yes. Everyone said yes.

The script was written in three weeks, and I was on my way from Baltimore to New Orleans three weeks after that for a marathon of shooting.
The movie circles several characters who never lost their childhood dreams of being famous or relevant, and the friends that get sucked into this endeavor. They live in a small town in the middle of nowhere, where it is easier to be the big fish in a small pond. In The Victory Lounge, we follow these characters and the lengths they go to in their attempts to maintain their delusions of relevance - with the crowning achievement being control of the local night club, “The Victory Lounge.
This movie is in deep post production - which means we are at a fine cut, but with no color correction or sound design. We put the movie on the back burner for the moment, as we don't want it lost in the noise, and don't have the means to properly promote the film. We have since shifted our focus to web series, where we can our match our budgets to the ideal distribution.
