On Saturday, October 6th, a short film that we had produced, directed by Eric Cotten, screened at the Baltimore International Black Film Festival. Later that evening, we had another short film screen at the Made in Baltimore Short Film Festival, hosted at the Creative Alliance.
Blue Light: Haunt My Dream was the last live action short we shot and the film has a little life left in it on the festival circuit before we try to pump life into its online existence.
Q & A following the screening
I finished the first pass on the feature length script for Blue Light several months ago, and with more time in the day and more weeks in the year, we would finish fleshing out seasons 2 and 3 of the web series, and then try to knock out the feature length version of this project. There has been a lot of work put into the world building, but the short and the first season of the web series only hint at the bigger story.
At the moment, however, the focus has moved to a stop motion series, and another series, “Pieces: Out of the Dark,” for which we were awarded a grant from the Baltimore Filmmakers Collective.
Other than a few possible festival screenings, this may be the last we hear of Blue Light for at least the immediate future.
